How NBA Decimal Odds Work on Windreama
Converting a price into a potential payout takes one multiplication — here is the breakdown.
Every NBA market on windreama is expressed in decimal format. The decimal represents the total return per PHP ₱1 staked, including your original wager. Multiply the decimal by your stake to get the full return, then subtract your stake to get the profit.
A Team A moneyline at 1.78 with a ₱1,000 stake returns ₱1,780 total, producing ₱780 profit. The same ₱1,000 on Team B at 2.15 returns ₱2,150 total, a ₱1,150 profit. The difference reflects what the market considers the more likely outcome. Favourites consistently come with decimals below 2.00 — meaning you profit less than your stake on a win. Underdogs sit above 2.00.
To convert any decimal to an implied probability, divide 1 by the decimal. At 1.78, the implied probability is 56.2% (1 ÷ 1.78). At 2.15, it is 46.5%. Add the two together and you get more than 100% — the overround that represents windreama's margin. A tighter combined total means more value is reaching the bettor.
Where this becomes useful: if your own honest assessment of a game gives Team B a 52% chance of winning but the windreama odds imply only 46.5%, your probability estimate is higher than the market's. That gap is where value potentially lives. The key word is "potentially" — no single game is a guaranteed outcome, and a team you assess as likely to win can still lose. Use probability thinking to inform decisions, not to remove the inherent uncertainty of sports.
